Suspension of Operations in DFA CO Zamboanga on 08 February 2024 in Observance of Israh Wal Mi’raj

ZAMBOANGA 29 January 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs informs the public that its Consular Office (CO) in Zamboanga City will be closed on Thursday, 08 February 2024, in observance of Israh Wal Mi’raj or Prophet Muhammad’s Night Journey and Ascension, which is recognized as a legal Muslim holiday by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1083 otherwise known as the Muslim Code of the Philippines.

Consular operations will resume on Monday, 12 February 2024.
