Temporary Suspension of Operations in DFA Consular Office Zamboanga on 26 February 2024

ZAMBOANGA CITY 26 February 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs informs the public that its Consular Office (CO) in Zamboanga City will be temporarily closed on Monday, 26 February 2024 in celebration of the 87th Dia de la Ciudad de Zamboanga. 

This is pursuant to Proclamation No. 483 issued 23 February 2024 and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos. 

The Dia de la Ciudad de Zamboanga is an annual observance that celebrates the city’s charter anniversary marked by the installation of the first set of appointed city officials led by Mayor Nicasio Valderosa on 26 February 1937. 

Consular operations will resume on Tuesday, 27 February 2024.
