DFA Raises Alert Level 2 in New Caledonia

PASAY 30 May 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announces that it has placed New Caledonia under Crisis Alert Level 2 (Restriction Phase) in view of the announcement of a state of emergency in the territory. 

There are approximately 200 Filipinos and Filipinos by descent living in New Caledonia. Filipinos living in New Caledonia are advised to remain vigilant, avoid public places, and restrict non-essential movement. Filipinos are also advised to monitor and follow guidelines set by local authorities.
