DFA CO Baguio to Open for Passport Services on 27 July 2024 for Government Employees in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)

BAGUIO 19 July 2024 – In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Consular Office in Baguio and the 37th Anniversary of the issuance of Executive Order No. 220, creating the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), CO Baguio will open on 27 July 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, to accommodate government employees deployed in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in need of passport services.

Below are the guidelines for the accommodation:

1. To avail themselves of the accommodation, eligible applicants must present proof of their employment in the CAR, such as current employment ID, CSC appointment, or Office Order.

2. Eligible applicants are permitted to bring immediate family members who also wish to apply for passports. For married applicants, immediate family members include the spouse and children; for single applicants, these include their parent(s) and/or unmarried siblings.

3. Applicants with disapproved applications shall be given until 27 August 2024 to return to CO Baguio to comply with the submission of their complete and correct documents. Accommodation of returning applicants shall be allowed only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (except holidays), between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

4. All applicants who will avail themselves of this special Saturday consular operation shall be charged an expedited fee of Php 1,200.00. They may also opt to avail themselves of the onsite courier/delivery services for a fee of Php 150.00.

5. CO will accommodate a maximum of two hundred (200) applicants only, on a first-come, first-served policy.

CO Baguio reminds all applicants that accommodation does not constitute or guarantee approval of the passport application. All applicants will be processed following existing laws, rules, and regulations for passport processing.
