Transfer of Jurisdiction over Ethiopia from the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt to the Philippine Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya

05 November 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs informs the public that effective 30 October 2024, the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt over the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has been transferred to the Philippine Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.

The operations of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Addis Ababa, which will now be under the oversight of the Philippine Embassy in Kenya, will not be affected. lt will continue to provide consular and assistance-to-nationals services. 

All queries and concerns regarding the 2025 overseas voting, however, must still be addressed to the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
