Temporary Suspension of Operations in the DFA Consular Office Zamboanga on 27 January 2025

ZAMBOANGA 20 January 2025 – The Department of Foreign Affairs informs the public that its Consular Office (CO) in Zamboanga City will be closed on Monday, 27 January 2025, in observance of Israh Wal Mi’raj or Prophet Muhammad’s Night Journey and Ascension, which is recognized as a legal Muslim holiday by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1083, otherwise known as the Muslim Code of the Philippines.

Consular operations will resume on Tuesday, 28 January 2025.
