Mongolian Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh to Undertake Official Visit to the Philippines on 19 to 20 May 2025

MANILA, 18 May 2025 - Foreign Secretary Enrique A. Manalo will host Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh for an official visit to the Philippines on 19-20 May 2025.

During the Official Visit, Secretary Manalo and Foreign Minister Battsetseg will hold a bilateral meeting to review the state of Philippines-Mongolia relations and to chart ways forward to further enhance the two countries’ diplomatic relations, which have entered their sixth decade. The Philippines and Mongolia marked the Golden Anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations in 2023. 

Beyond bilateral relations, Secretary Manalo and Foreign Minister Battsetseg will also discuss strategic issues of mutual concern. 

Foreign Minister Battsetseg is also scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and Senate President Francis Joseph G. Escudero. 

Her trip marks the first official visit by a Mongolian Foreign Minister to the Philippines since 1984. It reciprocates Secretary Manalo’s trip to Ulaanbaatar on 4-5 August 2024, which marked the first official visit by a Philippine Foreign Secretary to Mongolia. END
