DFA-OCA’s Establishes “Ease of Doing Business” Lanes in Observance of EODB Month
MANILA 23 May 2025 — Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 818, declaring the month of May as Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month, the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs announces its establishment of an EODB Lane to facilitate faster, more efficient, and citizen-friendly government transactions.
OCA has integrated the EODB Lane into its Passport Courtesy Lane from 21 to 30 May 2025. The EODB Lane caters to eligible individuals including senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant, minors, overseas Filipinos, individuals with exceptional and emergency cases, and muslim Filipinos who are intending pilgrims to the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The EODB Month celebration is a month-long observance which aims to raise awareness, promote reform, and encourage collaboration among government agencies, private sector, and the public to enhance the ease of doing business in the Philippines. This is in line with Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, which mandates the streamlining, standardization, and automation of government processes to enhance public service delivery.
