08 May 2015 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) wishes to inform the public that it is currently at a reduced capacity to receive incoming calls and to make outgoing calls through its trunklines and direct lines.
This is due to the pilferage of cable lines installed by the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company along F.B. Harrison Street. This is the second time such an incident occurred this year.
PLDT is currently conducting troubleshooting operations involving repair, replacement and maintenance to ensure that normal telephone services are restored by June 2015.
During this period, the DFA advises the public to direct all queries to the official e-mail accounts of DFA offices, the DFA official Twitter account ( @dfaspokesperson ), or through the official DFA Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/dfaphl ). All DFA announcements and news can still be viewed at www.dfa.gov.ph. The DFA can also be reached through the following temporary numbers of the DFA Action Center: (632) 832 3215 and (632) 832 3264.
The DFA thanks the public for its understanding and cooperation during this time. END
