03 June 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh wishes to inform the Filipino community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that a certain website, www.ofwtoday.com (logo in picture above), has embedded the Embassy’s “Passport for Release” search system in its website, without any authority coming from the Embassy or Philippine government authorities.

The website has also been publishing misleading information by providing an incorrect telephone number registered under a private individual, which supposedly belongs to the Philippine Embassy:

(instead of) Phone number of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh: 01-482-3816

The official link to the “Passports for Release” search system is published in the website of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh at www.riyadhpe.dfa.gov.ph.

The Filipino community is reminded to be more vigilant in accessing websites that claim to provide certain “services” that are otherwise officially and exclusively provided by the Philippine Embassy.

The Filipino community is likewise reminded that official information, advisories, and transactions from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh can be accessed in its official website. END
