DFA Ladies Foundation in Ankara Participates in Annual Charity Bazaar of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses Solidarity Association of Turkey (DMEDD)

19 December 2017 ANKARA — The Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation (DFALF) Ankara Chapter participated in the Annual Charity Bazaar of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses Solidarity Association of Turkey, known locally as Dişişleri Mensuplari Eşleri Dayanişma Derneği or DMEDD at the Mariott Hotel in Ankara on December 13.
It is the Philippine Embassy’s sixth time to participate in the said event.
The Philippine booth showcased and sold products such as Philippine-made pearl jewelry, handicrafts and house décor and displayed tourism collateral including “More Fun in the Philippines” posters and mascaras. The Philippine booth was also among the most popular booths in the bazaar.
In a separate area, members of the Filipino Community in Ankara showcased Philippine cuisines and sold adobo and tocino rice toppings, siopao, spring roll, bichobicho, chicken embutido, pansit bihon and empanada, which were all sold out before lunch time.
Proceeds of the event were donated to DMEDD Foundation which will provide financial support and scholarships to children in Turkey. END
