PASAY CITY 03 February 2021 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. administered the oath of office of the newly-elected Board of Trustees of the Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation, Inc. (DFALF) for CY 2021 at the Carlos P. Garcia Conference Room on 25 January 2021.
The newly-elected Board is composed of Atty. Andrea B. Leycano (Office of Treaties and Legal Affairs), Atty. Anna Christina R. Iglesias (Office of Treaties and Legal Affairs), Ms. Jacqueline L. Ong (Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs), Ms. Marie Yvette L. Banzon-Abalos (Office of Public and Cultural Diplomacy), Ms. Glaiza M. Quarteros (Office of ASEAN Affairs), Ms. Kara Denise O. Calansingin (Human Resource Management Office), Ms. Shara G. Hilao (Office of Fiscal Management Service), Ms. Cherill R. Uzaraga-Tubojan (Office of Asset Management and Support Services) and Ms. Maria Cecilia P. Wenceslao (Office of the Secretary).
DFALF Chairperson Mme. Maria Lourdes B. Locsin delivered a message expressing her appreciation for the efforts and initiatives of the outgoing Board of Trustees as well as her support to the incoming Board and members of the Foundation. Outgoing DFALF President Irene Susan B. Natividad congratulated the new Board and provided a short briefing on the workings of the Foundation.
The DFALF is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of the members of the Philippine Foreign Service and the community. Last year, the Foundation awarded 20 new scholarships, bringing a total of 54 active scholars in 2020. The DFALF has assisted 322 scholars since 1997.END
