IBF, DFALF Donate Children’s Books, Vitamins to DFA Community
International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. Chairperson Maria Lourdes B. Locsin and Executive Director Nora C. Salazar turn over the donated children’s books to DFA-HRMO Executive Director Mersole Mellejor.
PASAY CITY 14 June 2022 – Madame Maria Lourdes B. Locsin, Chairperson of the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF) and the DFA Ladies Foundation, Inc. (DFALF), led the turnover of children’s books and vitamins at the Carlos P. Garcia Conference Room to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on 07 June 2022.
Foreign Affairs Executive Director for Human Resources Management Mersole J. Mellejor received the books, which will become part of the library of the Philippine-Swiss Friendship Center (formerly DFA Day Care Center).
The IBF book drive is ongoing and will include other beneficiaries, such as Kabisig ng Kalahi Inc. and Karunungan Center. Mme. Locsin also oversaw the turnover of DFALF’s donation of 1,000 boxes of vitamins to the DFA, for its general services staff.
In 2020, DFALF donated a three-month supply of vitamins to Covid-19 recoverees in the DFA. This was followed by another donation in 2021 that benefited more than 1,000 DFA frontliners.
