PASAY 30 March 2023 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique A. Manalo administered the oath of office of the ASEAN Ladies Foundation, Inc. (ALF) Board of Trustees for CY 2023 at the Department of Foreign Affairs on 20 March 2023.  

The newly elected Board is composed of Mme. Ranny Agus Widjojo of Indonesia (President), Mme. Bouavone Souksavanh of Lao PDR (Vice President), Ms. May Myo Khaing of Myanmar (Press Relations Officer), and from the Philippines, Ms. Alice Tesoro Guerrero (Treasurer), Ms. Veronica Baluyut-Jimenez (Auditor), and Ms. Nora Salazar (Corporate Secretary). 

ALF Chairperson Mme. Pamela Louise Manalo also conveyed her appreciation to outgoing Board of Trustees President Ms. Siti Sadiah Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Mohd Fareed Zakaria of the Malaysian Embassy in a ceremonial turnover. Also present to witness the ceremony were Ambassador Phan Peuv of Cambodia, Ambassador Agus Widjojo of Indonesia, Ambassador Sonexay Vannaxay of Lao PDR, Ambassador Tull Traisorat of Thailand, Ambassador Hoang Huy Chung of Vietnam and guests from the ASEAN Embassies.

The ALF seeks to promote awareness and understanding of the various history and cultural heritage of ASEAN member countries. Among its activities are food festivals, during which the ALF aims to showcase the richness of ASEAN cultures and culinary heritage.
