29 October 2014 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation (DFALF) – Ankara Chapter met with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses Solidarity Association of Turkey (known locally as Dişişleri Mensuplari Eşleri Dayanişma Derneği or DMEDD) on October 14 at the DMEDD Office in Ankara.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sanchez and Dr. Koru, President, DMEDD, briefed each group of the history, goals and activities of DFALF and DMEDD.  Both groups were very pleased to note that they share the goals of promoting solidarity, camaraderie and social responsibility and have expressed their willingness to support the activities of each group towards the achievement of said goals.

Before closing the meeting, the DFALF and DMEDD agreed to hold joint projects in the future that would raise awareness of the Philippines, especially of its people and culture in Turkey.  END
