13 March 2015 - Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation (DFALF) - Abuja Chapter, and the Pusong Pinoy Association (PPA), held the 2015 Grand International Bazaar on March 08 at the Abuja Horse and Country Club - Shooting Range, Kado, Abuja, in honor of International Women’s Day.
With over 20 participating exhibitors and attendance of over 300 guests that included members of the diplomatic corps, expatriate and Filipino communities in Abuja, as well as Nigerians, the bazaar showcased products and services made by women, children and other disadvantaged groups. Funds raised during the bazaar will be earmarked for the benefit of charitable institutions in Nigeria and in the Philippines. Bema Homes, one of the non-governmental organizations which will receive support from the bazaar, was invited to sell the products and handicrafts made by their wards, in support of the skills development thrust of the center.
Adding to the festive atmosphere of the bazaar was the entertainment given by local artists, bingo games and raffle prizes donated by generous individuals and companies.
This year’s international bazaar was the first joint activity between DFALF-Abuja Chapter and PPA. END
