03 July 2014 – Philippine Consul General Marichu Mauro and Vice Consul Helen Anne Sayo met on June 26 with the Filipino community and Father Graziano Gavioli, Chaplain of the Filipino community in Modena. All the participants contributed to a fruitful dialogue and exchange of ideas on future projects between the Consulate General and the community over a typical Emilian lunch in the beautiful historic center of Modena.


Different association leaders from the Comunità Filippina di Modena (COFILMO) positively shared their stories of life and work in Italy. They also raised common concerns like the regular conduct of consular services in Modena and how to better promote Filipino language and culture.


They gladly welcomed opportunities to collaborate with the Consulate General on projects to benefit the growing Filipino population in Modena.



Regular consultations with various Filipino groups are being conducted with the objective of bringing the Consulate General closer to the community. END
