02 August 2017 — Executives from Natur Foods’ (pronounced “nature foods”) Moscow offices visited the Philippine Embassy on 27 July 2017 to meet Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta and discuss mutual interests related to importing Philippine food products into Russia. Mr. Khusrav Rajabov and Mr. llovar Sadykov talked about their company’s interest in expanding cooperation with interested Philippine exporters of fresh fruits, particularly bananas. They explained that Natur Foods has been importing banana chips from the Philippines as much as three (3) 40-foot containers’ worth of banana chips on a regular monthly schedule for nationwide distribution.

“Our fresh fruit exporters are eager to enter the Russian market and it’s our job to help them,” said Ambassador Sorreta. “The Russian market is very attractive especially for our banana importers and we have several looking to get in serious talks with Russian buyers.”

The Natur Foods representatives also mentioned that they will be participating in the 2017 World Food Moscow and look forward to discussing their interests on expanding cooperation with other prospective Philippine exporters during that time.
