PH Embassy Holds Livelihood Program for Filipinas in Bangladesh
DHAKA 11 October 2018 – As part of its women empowerment and development program, the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka conducted its four-hour 3D Jelly Course (Livelihood Program) for the Filipino ladies in Bangladesh conducted by Hoang Cake Brand in Dhaka from 28 September to 01 October 2018.
A total of 32 ladies graduated from the course.
The ladies were scheduled into seven batches over the four-day activity and a culminating program was held on 01 October 2018 at the Embassy chancery. The participants received certificates of completion from Hoang Cake Brand, and awards were given to the fastest learners and best decorators as a way of appreciating their efforts and good performance.
The culminating activity was also attended by the husbands and children of the Filipino ladies. One from each batch was also given the opportunity to share their experience in class.
Ambassador to Bangladesh Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo conferred a plaque of appreciation to Hoang Cake Brand owner and activity instructor Hoang Thi Thua Ha for imparting her time and knowledge to give new skill to the Filipino ladies which could become another source of income for their families.
