PH Consulate General in Sydney Observes Campaign to End Violence Against Women

PHOTO: The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney organized a forum in observance of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on 07 December 2018.

Consul General Maria Teresa L. Taguiang emphasized on this year’s theme “VAW-Free Community Starts With Me” while Dr. Kristine Aquino, a lecturer in Global Studies in the University of Technology Sydney talked about migration and violence against women. Immigrant Women’s Speakout Association Executive Director Jane Corpuz- Brock shared her experience in helping victims of domestic violence in New South Wales.

The forum was attended by the Filipino Women’s Support Group of Macarthur and Filipino Community leaders of New South Wales. (Sydney PCG photos)
