PH Embassy in Oslo Conducts Information Briefing, Legal Aid in Sweden

As part of its Gender and Development programs on Filipino migrant women, the Philippine Embassy in Oslo held an Information Briefing on the Embassy’s Services and Legal Aid for the Filipino community in Karlstad, Sweden, and its neighboring municipalities on 20 October 2019. The Embassy held a discussion with the Filipino migrant women who attended the briefing, most of whom were married to Swedish nationals.

 The Embassy continues to reach out and provide services to address the specific concerns of Filipino migrant women not only in Sweden, but also in Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Of the 15,064 Filipinos in Sweden, around 74% are women with 11,085 females and 3,259 males, according to Statistics Sweden. (Oslo PE photo)
