ASEAN Women Circle of Los Angeles (AWCLA) Donates to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES 27 January 2020 – The ASEAN Women Circle of Los Angeles (AWCLA), led by its 2019 Chairperson and spouse of Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, Madame Catherine Amon Cruz, handed a financial donation to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) on 26 December 2019.  The donation was made from the proceeds of AWCLA’s Fundraising Bazaar held on 24 August 2019 with the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles at the helm.

Ms. Rosalyn Kawahira, Associate Director of CHLA, received the donation on behalf of CHLA and toured AWCLA officers around the hospital’s various facilities.

CHLA is the first pediatric hospital in Southern California established in 1901.  It is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit institution, which relies on the generosity of philanthropists in the community to support its compassionate patient care programs, leading-edge education of caregivers and innovative research efforts.  END
