PH Embassy in Santiago Meets FilCom on Financial Literacy and Health Concerns

SANTIAGO 13 February 2020 — The Philippine Embassy convened a meeting with members of the Filipino community on 08 February 2020 at the Embassy Chancery. A total of 35 Filipinas attended the gathering.

The Embassy gave an update on the re-emergence of polio in the Philippines, and a talk on the evolving Novel Corona Virus Acute Respiratory Disease.

The Embassy likewise underscored the importance of observing proper hygiene and maintaining good health, to always get information from the World Health Organization, local official health agencies, and the Philippine Department of Health websites for updates.

The discussion on health was followed by a financial literacy by Finance Officer of the Embassy Jeany V. Macadangdang. She discussed ways of managing one´s earnings and forms of investments which Filipinos abroad could consider. END
