PH Consulate General in Jeddah Opens First-ever Child-Minding Room, Toy Library
JEDDAH 13 March 2020 — The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, in cooperation with the Office of the Social Welfare Attaché and the Jeddah-based teachers’ organization—Philippine International Schools Teachers Association (PISTA), recently inaugurated the first-ever Child-Minding Room and Toy Library for babies/children of female wards at the Bahay Kalinga and consular clients on 01 March 2020.
The Consulate’s Child-Minding Room and Toy Library provides a safe, secure and healthy space where children can develop their social, emotional and communication skills while waiting for their parents. It is equipped with children’s books, educational toys, learning tools, board games, stuffed toys, and tables and chairs. It also serves as a breast-feeding and changing room for the babies of the Consulate’s clients.
The Consulate’s Child-Minding Room and Toy Library is located beside the Office of the Social Welfare Attaché, 2nd Floor, Building 4 of the Consulate General. END
