DFA Consular Office in Zamboanga Joined 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW)

ZAMBOANGA 16 December 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office in Zamboanga City renewed its commitment to protect the rights of women and girls by joining the 18-day campaign to end violence against women (VAW) from 25 November to 12 December 2020.

To promote public awareness, the Consular Office displayed the 18-day campaign official banner in the office, distributed Philippine Commission on Women (PCW)-developed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to its customers and showed VAW-Free advocacy videos in the customer waiting area. 

Other activities the CO and its personnel have engaged in relative to the VAW advocacy include decorating the office Christmas tree with orange ornaments and gift wraps, wearing of orange shirts and face masks,watching VAW-related films, and participating in webinars. END
