DFA Consular Office in Tacloban Participates in Consultation Dialogue for the Review and Enhancement of the Anti-Trafficking Help Desk Manual

TACLOBAN 18 February 2021 — The DFA Consular Office in Tacloban participated in the “Consultation Dialogue for the Review and Enhancement of the Help Desk Manual” relating to anti-trafficking measures in Eastern Visayas, which was virtually conducted on 16 February 2021.

The consultations aim to standardize guidelines for anti-trafficking help-desk personnel, strengthen personnel capacity, and to continuously improve the efficiency and functionality of these help desks.

The help-desk manual was reviewed in the presence of various agencies against Trafficking in Persons (TIP) to accommodate varied, localized, and close-to-reality inputs and experiences that may contribute to the overall purpose, content, and usage of the manual.

Participants during the said event were assigned to different chapters of the manual and were asked to present and open an interactive discussion. Final outputs of the event are still to be presented to a larger and more relevant units before final printing and distribution. END
