PH Participates in Annual International Food Festival in Vanuatu, Raises Funds for International Women’s Group

VANUATU 09 July 2021 — The Philippines participated in the Annual International Food Festival organized by the International Women’s Group (IWG) held on 26 June 2021 in Port Vila, Vanuatu. This year, the Philippines and Vanuatu celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations.

Filipino food such as chicken adobo, beef caldereta, pancit bihon (stir fried noodles), siopao (pork bun), cassava cake and maja blanca (coconut pudding) were showcased alongside dishes from France, Vietnam, Thailand, Brazil, UK, the Netherlands, India, Nepal, Italy China, Republic of Korea, and Japan.

The Philippine participation, led by Philippine Honorary Consul General Florentino “Bong” Serrano was able to raise VT54,100 (AUD636) which was donated to the IWG’s charity fund. END
