DFA Consular Office Tagum Conducts Webinar on Women's Physical Health and Well-being in the New Normal

TAGUM 22 September 2021 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Office Tagum, through its Gender and Development Section, successfully conducted a webinar on 18 September 2021 on “Women's Physical Health and Well-being: Reproductive Health in the New Normal” for its employees to inform and educate the personnel in reproductive health care and challenges of women reproductive care amidst this pandemic. 

Dr. Kimberly B. Luzon, Medical Officer III of the Department of Education, Schools Division of Davao Oriental conducted the said webinar and discussed about the Philippine’s reproductive health care programs, overview of the reproductive system, family planning and contraception methods, sexually transmitted infections, and reproductive care challenges in the pandemic.

The webinar enabled an avenue to learn about the benefits of knowing how our bodies work, the right to healthy and respectful relationships, having access to health services that are inclusive, safe, and appropriate to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

The webinar is conducted in line with GAD’s mandate to continuously promote and advocate for women’s health and rights to decent work. END
