PAMPANGA 04 November 2021 — The DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga (CO Pampanga) participated in the nationwide campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness through an information drive targeting passport applicants at the Consular Office on 22 October 2021.
Clad in pink tops and face masks, CO Pampanga personnel raised the importance of early detection to prevent breast cancer not only among women but also among men. During the short presentation, GAD Focal Person Ms. Reylin Danielle P. Piozon emphasized the importance of regular self-breast examinations to detect early symptoms of this deadly disease.
CO Pampanga also distributed information flyers on breast cancer to all applicants. Information about the disease was also played on loop at its monitors to further the reach of its campaign. The information campaign of the Consular Office ran for the whole month of October 2021. Boxes of pink-colored masks were also distributed to the applicants as part of this campaign and at the same time to intensify its efforts for a safe working space for its personnel and the public during the pandemic.
