PH Consulate General in New York Kicks Off 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women  Activities

Officials of the Philippine Consulate General in New York, led by Consul General Elmer G. Cato (center) wore orange, during the flag raising on 22 November 2021, at the Philippine Center, the Philippine Consulate General in New York. Orange, which symbolizes a brighter future free of violence is the official color of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women. In his remarks, Consul General Cato said “The Philippine Consulate is committed to empowering our female personnel and female clientele by making sure that their voices are heard. At the lobby of the Philippine Center, a strategic place has been devoted as an Anti-VAW landmark to increase public awareness on the 18-day campaign, which runs from 25 November to 12 December.  With the theme, “VAW-free Community Starts With Me,” the goal is to engender a culture of accountability in fighting all forms of violence against women. Clients of the Philippine Consulate General in New York are welcomed on  22 November 2021, with orange treats and bits of information about the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, which runs from 25 November to 12 December 2021.
