PH Consulate General in Frankfurt Conducts Online Basic Investing & Finlit Course, to Aid in Preventing Domestic Violence

FRANKFURT 26 November 2021 – Filipinos in Germany had a chance to learn how “financial confidence” can be a key to preventing and combating domestic violence. As part of its economic diplomacy and the campaign to end violence against women, the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt hosted on 19 November 2021 an online event entitled, “Investing Basics for Global Pinoys in Germany” with Mr. Leover Loyola, Overseas Representative Officer for Europe & Latin America/Israel/Turkey of OFBank as resource speaker. 

Apart from learning the basic concepts of investing, including an introduction to Retail Treasury Bonds (RTBs) Tranche 26, an investment opportunity which is being offered from 16 to 25 November 2021, the event also discussed how financial literacy activities can help fight and prevent domestic violence, especially among women overseas.
