PH Embassy in Manama Kicks Off 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women
MANAMA, 28 November 2021 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama kicked off its 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) with this year’s theme, “VAW-Free Community Starts with Me,” which aims to promote awareness about the Safe Spaces Act and to encourage the public to share how they visualize a community without gender-based sexual harassment.
The Embassy, in cooperation with the Filipino art group Filipino Creatives Bahrain, also launched a campaign corner at the Embassy lobby through an Art Exhibit featuring artworks created by Filipino artists.
The exhibit/campaign board also serves as a pledge board where Embassy clients can express their support to the 18-day campaign. END
