QUEZON CITY, 16 December 2021 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Office (CO) NCR-Northeast (Ali Mall) participated in the nationwide celebration of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women from 25 November to 12 December 2021.

CO Personnel showed their support to this advocacy by wearing orange ribbons and VAW-Free orange masks with the theme “VAW-free community starts with ME,” throughout the duration of the campaign period.

In addition to the display of the 2021 VAW-Free campaign streamers in the passport, releasing and authentication areas, the campaign photo was also uploaded in the TV monitor of the consular reception area.  The 18-day VAW-Free campaign was also highlighted with the recitation of the VAW Prayer during the Department’s virtual flag raising ceremonies.

To promote awareness of the Safe Spaces Act not only to its personnel but also to the public, CO personnel also distributed flyers to passport and authentication applicants. END
