BUENOS AIRES, 17 December 2021 – In observance of the Philippine government's annual 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) and Children from 25 November to 12 December, the Philippine Embassy in Argentina organized a health and wellness seminar for the Embassy personnel and the members of the Filipino community in Argentina on 9 December 2021 at the Embassy Chancery.

The seminar/workshop was aimed at providing the participants with tools and knowledge to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Romina Scardaccione, a local nutritionist, shared her expertise with the participants and gave them tips on eating healthy during the holidays. Per Dr. Scardaccione, these choices would significantly improve one's quality of life. In addition, she gave a primer on intermittent fasting, citing its multiple benefits to the body.

During the workshop, the participants were asked to prepare their lunches with the correct mix of food from a menu provided by the speaker. The Embassy distributed Anti-VAW campaign-themed t-shirts and facemasks to the participants during the workshop.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy in Argentina has been conducting regular tai chi sessions every Monday and Friday morning to promote health and wellness among the Embassy personnel. END
