DFA CO Pampanga reinforces COVID-19 information campaign

PAMPANGA, 18 January 2021 — In light of the current surge in COVID-19 transmission, DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga reinforced its information campaign through the distribution of “Covid at Ikaw” comics which were provided by the Philippine Information Agency Region 3.
The comics, written in Filipino and crafted by the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) and its Multisector Governance Council, contains basic information about the virus, preventive hygiene measures, things needed to do when experiencing symptoms, and the importance of getting vaccinated.
The office’s GAD focal persons distributed the information material and alcohol to the public. The information campaign, which was done every two hours during its operation, was conducted from 07 to 12 January 2022. A COVID-19 emergency preparedness response and office operation plan were also set in place to ensure the continuous delivery of its services to the public.
The said information material will be made available to the public as part of its Gender and Development activity and in support of Region 3’s initiative to build better understanding and awareness of the current pandemic. END
