PHNOM PENH 14 March 2022 – During its first consular outreach this year, the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia highlighted the Philippine celebration of the National Women’s Month by providing gift packs to the first ten female clients and prioritizing all female clients.
The consular outreach mission in Siem Reap province on 05 March 2022 served a total of 45 Filipinos from Siem Reap and Poipet, rendering 43 consular services such as Embassy I.D. issuance and renewal, passport renewal and passport extensions, civil registry, and notarial services.
Filipinos who went to the consular outreach thanked the Embassy and all its “welcoming and accommodating” personnel for conducting the consular outreach in Siem Reap and for the “excellent” services given to them.
Siem Reap is six hours away by land travel from Phnom Penh, and is the site of the famous Angkor Wat, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Prior to the pandemic, it was home to some 400 Filipinos in addition to 400 Filipinos residing in nearby provinces, who are mostly working in the hotel and casino industries. The Embassy regularly conducts a mobile outreach in Siem Reap at least once a year. END
