MALOLOS 02 May 2022 – Ahead of Pride Month, which is annually and internationally celebrated in June, the DFA Consular Office in Malolos City, in cooperation with the Philippine Anti-Discrimination Alliance of Youth Leaders (PANTAY) conducted a Lecture-Workshop for its personnel entitled “SOGIESC 101: Introduction to SOGIESC and Human Rights,” delivered by PANTAY Director for Internal Affairs Nicko G. “CK” Gatpandan on 29 April 2022.

Gatpandan lectured on the salient features of SOCIEC Bill being currently being lobbied at Congress. The lecture also touched upon LGBTQIA+ Rights as Human Rights advocated Gender Equality, promoted and raised awareness on discrimination, harassment, bullying, hate and violence to the LGBTQIA+ Community.

The lecture ended in the hope for an informed and educated Philippines: communicating, campaigning and effectively implementing laws and policies which will positively impact the LGBTQIA+ Community. END
