CHICAGO 17 May 2022 - In support of the Philippine Commission on Women’s (PCW) advocacy for equality and accessibility for women with disabilities, the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago hosted a Webinar on Disability Awareness and Etiquette Training for its officers and staff on 12 May 2022.

The webinar was held in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) of Chicago. Mr. Jerod Lockhart, Training Officer from MOPD, discussed the salient points of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ACT), which stipulates the legal rights of persons with disabilities. He also touched on the etiquette in dealing with clients with various disabilities, and the acceptable inclusive practices for government offices.
