PH Embassy in Moscow Holds Webinar on Women’s Reproductive Health Care

MOSCOW 25 August 2022 — As part of the celebration of this year’s National Family Planning Month, the Philippine Embassy in Moscow organized an online lecture on women’s reproductive health care to bring awareness to OFs about personal hygiene, menstrual problem, fertility and infertility, pregnancy, safe sex, contraception, and the importance of women’s general health and well-being. The lecture was presented by Ms. Trizia Gallevo, a Public Health Nutritionist and GAD Technical Assistant of the City Government of Las Piñas.
Discussions during the lecture included the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV AIDS and the nutrition-related issued affecting women and their reproductive health.
Ms. Gallaevo emphasized that reproductive issues can greatly contribute to a person’s mental health and general well-being. She, likewise, highlighted the need to take the necessary steps to relieve stress using diet, exercise, and relaxation.
In his opening remarks, Philippine Ambassador to Russia Igor G. Bailen said that “sexually transmitted diseases are probably the most tabooed disease we know. He encouraged women in Russia to not be afraid to reach out to medical specialists/ health professional or at the Embassy in case of having signs of contagious diseases”. END
