DFA Consular Office in Butuan Conducts Seminar on Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995

BUTUAN CITY 10 October 2022 - DFA Consular Office (CO) Butuan implemented its 4th Quarter GAD Activity at Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental on 01 to 02 October 2022 through an online seminar on RA 7877 otherwise known as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995.

Discussing with all CO personnel, resource Speaker Atty. Shirley Joyce O. Bohol-Matados, District Public Attorney, Public Attorney’s Office, Calbayog City, virtually shared knowledge on her subject of expertise.

The activity ended with the CO personnel gaining additional knowledge about RA 7877, its scope, and the corresponding penalties and fines for the violation of the Act. The Resource Speaker highlighted the importance of the employer or head of the office in the prevention of the violation and the promulgation of rules and regulations, disseminating or posting a copy of RA 7877, and the creation of CODI or the Committee on Decorum and Investigation.
