DFA Consular Office in San Fernando, Pampanga Donates Children Books in Celebration of the National Reading Month and Children’s Month

SAN FERNANDO, 11 November 2022 – In commemoration of the 2022 National Reading Month and Children’s Month, the Department of Foreign Affairs - Consular Office in San Fernando, Pampanga (CO Pampanga) donated books to San Jose Panlumacan Integrated School in San Fernando, Pampanga on 09 November 2022.
CO Pampanga donated 30 copies of “Ayaw Ko Po Sana”, a children’s book launched by the Department of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Australian Embassy and Anvil Publishing Inc., for the 30th Anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 2019. The book emphasizes the right of the child to be heard and to express themselves freely.
The Consular Office, represented by Ms. Sarah Jane Milloroso, also conducted a book reading session during the donation ceremony. The books were received by San Jose Panlumacan Integrated School Principal Mary Jane P. Mallari, and Grade 6 Adviser and English Coordinator Carmela P. Balbago.
The activity forms part of the Consular Office’s Gender and Development and Cultural Diplomacy program. END
