OTTAWA 07 December 2022 - As part of its 18-day campaign to eliminate violence against women and girls, the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa organized a workshop on Effective Interpersonal Communication on 30 November 2022. The module was delivered by Ms. Linda Côté from the Professional Development Institute (PDI) of the University of Ottawa and is the concluding module for the year of the Embassy’s Personnel Continuing Education Program (PCEP).
The workshop guided the participants in conveying positive verbal messages in their conversation with each other and with other people. Through effective communication, the Embassy hopes that confrontation and heated exchanges would be avoided. This outcome would contribute towards the reduction of violence, including against women and girls.
PCEP reflects the commitment of the Embassy to provide regular training to its personnel for their professional growth.
