DFA Consular Office in Tacloban Joins the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence against Women

TACLOBAN CITY 09 December 2022 — The Department of Foreign Affairs-Consular Office in Tacloban joined the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women on 25 November 2022 by raising awareness among its staff and clients through various initiatives.

In an effort to raise awareness on the social dilemma of violating women’s rights and fundamental freedom, the DFA Consular Office in Tacloban distributed to the clients Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials on Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 (RA 7877) and Anti-Rape Law of 1997 (RA 8353). The Consular Office also displayed a banner with this year’s theme, “UNiTED for a VAW-free Philippines” at the office’s conspicuous area to disseminate information about the campaign to the public.
