PARIS 13 March 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Paris started its celebration of Women's Month by recognizing Filipina achievers.
Philippine Ambassador to France Junever M. Mahilum-West led the Embassy’s participation in “Living Lullabies,” a lecture organized by The Institute for Ideas and Imagination Columbia Global Centers in Paris on 02 March 2023.
The lecture was given by Ms. Hannah Reyes Morales, a Filipina photographer and multimedia journalist. Ms. Morales is a Filipina achiever who, among her many accolades, was named cultural leader by the World Economic Forum in its ASEAN forum and was commissioned as a Nobel Peace Prize photographer in 2021.
Ambassador Mahilum-West expressed pride in the accomplishments of Ms. Morales and congratulated her on the success of “Living Lullabies.”
The Institute for Ideas and Imagination described “Living Lullabies” as “a multidisciplinary project that looks at critical issues from the lens of women and children, through the storytelling of families’ night time rituals across the world. It explores how caregivers prepare children for sleep in environments fraught with risk, and the unique role of the lullaby as a vector for sense- and place- making.”
