PH Embassy Participates in International Women’s Day Celebration 2023

RIYADH, 15 March 2023 — The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh successfully participated in the International Women’s Day (IWD) Celebration organized by the Embassy of India in Riyadh on 08 March 2023. 

The event, which showcased the diverse culture and culinary offerings of each participating Embassies, was attended by a large number of diplomats, citizens, and members of the international community in Riyadh. 

The Philippine Embassy featured modern Baro’t Saya and served Filipino delicacies such as empanada, puto pao, spring rolls, and cassava cake. 

For its cultural presentation, the Embassy’s Consular Attaché, Ms. Carla Jane Rabacal, serenaded the audience with the “Dakilang Lahi” version by Ciara Sotto. 

The celebration also served as a platform to discuss the signs of progress made to empower and promote women across the globe, through an interactive panel discussion, with participation from Ms. Noor Nugali, the Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Arab News, and Ms. Sofia Connelly, First Secretary of the Embassy of Australia in Riyadh.
