PH Embassy in Mexico Celebrates the 2023 National Women’s Month

MEXICO 12 April 2023 — In observance of the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration with the theme for 2023-2028 “WE for gender equality and inclusive society,” the Philippine Embassy in Mexico conducted several activities such as zumba wellness and fitness activity, a visit to shop that sells handicrafts made by Mexican women, film showing of a movie on empowering women, distributed empowerment pins to women visitors of the Embassy, conducted makeup and crochet lessons, among others for the whole month of March 2023.

During the culmination ceremony on 31 March 2023, Ambassador Lilybeth R. Deapera encouraged all of the Embassy personnel to continue supporting the call for gender equality and promote women empowerment.

The Philippine Embassy in Mexico greatly appreciates and will continue to support the advocacy of the Philippine Commission of Women (PCW) in the promotion and recognition of women’s role in society. END
