PH Embassy in Port Moresby Commemorates Celebration of Women's Month

The Chancery of the Philippine Embassy in Port Moresby is aglow in purple in celebration of Women’s Month.

PORT MORESBY 12 March 2024 – In commemoration of Women’s Month, the Philippine Embassy in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea lit its Chancery in purple starting on 6 March 2024. It will remain so throughout the month of March.

Aside from the observance of Purple Fridays, the Embassy will also sponsor a medical mission focusing on women’s and maternal health in underserved communities in Port Moresby alongside the Filipino Association in Papua New Guinea (FAPNG) and volunteer Filipino physicians and health workers.

The Embassy shall likewise organize a seminar on women’s labor rights for the benefit of female Filipino workers in Papua New Guinea.  END
