Philippine Consulate General in Agana Conducts Seminar on Women’s Health

AGANA 13 March 2024 – In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Philippine Consulate General in Guam organized a Seminar on Women’s Health at the Guam Reef Hotel on 09 March 2024. More than 40 officers and members of the Filipino Community and PCG personnel attended the seminar.

The resource speakers of the event were Dr. Mariana Cook-Huynh, Dr. Kelli Jarrett, both obstetricians and Ms. Margaret Mesa, a registered nurse practitioner of the Marianas Physicians Group.  They shared their expertise on the latest health issues affecting women. Among the topics discussed were menopause symptoms and management, cancer prevention screening, lifestyle and wellness exams, and heart disease in women.

Consul General Rosario P. Lemque conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the resource speakers who have generously allocated their time and shared their expertise for free on the latest health issues that affect all women.

The attendees enjoyed the informative presentations and worthwhile tips on how to take care of their well-being and actively participated in the lively exchanges during the open forum. END
