PH Embassy Collaborates with Bahrain Specialist Hospital Juffair for Free Medical Camp

MANAMA 13 March 2024 – The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, collaborated with the Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) Juffair to hold a Filipino Women’s Day Free Multi-Specialty Medical Camp on 08 March 2024, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
A total of 100 Filipino women availed of free services during the medical camp, which included Primary Heart Screening (ECG), Gynecologic Screening (Abdominal Ultrasound), Vision Screening (Eye Pressure Check-up), Diabetes Screening (Random Blood Sugar Test), Hypertension Screening, and Physical Examination. The participants underwent preliminary check-ups followed by consultations with specialists.
During the medical camp, the Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) also launched its “Cancer Care Package”, which offers a free consultation for a second opinion to patients diagnosed with cancer.
Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis conveyed the Embassy’s gratitude to the management, panel of doctors, nurses, and staff of the BSH for working with the Embassy in providing free health screenings to the members of the Filipino community.
On behalf of BSH, Mr. Majed Ardati, Chief Operating Officer, also thanked the Embassy for collaborating with the hospital and highlighted the importance of promoting the health and wellness of the Filipino and other expatriate communities in Bahrain.
The medical camp is part of the Embassy’s continuing program to promote the health and wellness of the Filipino community in Bahrain. END
