PH Embassy, Filipino Creatives Bahrain Hold Culminating Activity for National Arts Month and International Women’s Day

MANAMA 14 March 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, in collaboration with the Filipino community organization, Filipino Creatives Bahrain, held its culminating activity for National Arts Month (February) on 08 March 2024 at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal that also coincided with the Embassy’s celebration of International Women’s Day.
In her remarks on the above occasion, Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis highlighted the celebration of National Women’s Month and presented the visual materials provided by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) on the exceptional Filipino women who are recipients of the Order of National Artists Award (ONAA) and the recent Gaward Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA) from the NCCA for championing the Philippines’ diverse art forms, heritage, and cultural traditions.
The participating students from the Philippine School Bahrain (PSB) in the Film and Acrylic Painting workshops showcased their output during the culminating event. In addition, the art workshop participants, together with artists from the Filipino Creatives Bahrain, worked on a mother and child painting to commemorate International Women's Day and pay tribute to all women.
The participating students were given Certificates of Participation, while the PSB teachers and facilitators from Filipino Creatives Bahrain were presented with Certificates of Appreciation by the Embassy. END
